V10-1, Fall 1996 – “Montana Native Plant Society… It Can’t Be Ten Years Already!” by Peter Lesica with help from Kathy Ahlenslager and Virginia Vincent; Bonnie Heidel’s drawing of Kelseya uniflora first appears on the masthead; “Wildcrafting… What’s Happening in Montana?”; “Alert: Invasion of Tamarisk in Montana” by Anna Sala and Bonnie Heidel; Richard Prodgers critically reviews a book on rangeland health in Rangeland Health: Pretty Concept, Elusive Measurement; and the issue includes an insert listing “Publications About Native Plants.”

V10-2, Winter 1997 – “Francis Kelsey… and Kelseya” by Peter Lesica is reprinted from the Volume 1, Number 2 issue; Conservation items include “Spalding’s Catchfly Proposed for ‘Threatened’ Listing… Still”; “Eleven New Natural & Botanical Areas Added” documents new areas in the Beaverhead/Deerlodge and Bitterroot national forests; a winter twig quiz; and a short report on collecting “Native Grass seed from On-site Sources” by Bonnie Dearing.

V10-3, Summer 1997 – “A Primer on Cottonwoods” by Mike Merigliano with references; a listing of small grants proposals; an announcement of the upcoming Manual of Glacier Park Flora by Peter Lesica; and mostly Society news.

V10-4, Summer 1997 – Not published.

KELSEYA, the MNPS newsletter,

is published four times a year and is included with your membership.
 Kelseya contains timely articles about Montana plants and their communities, listings of chapter and state meetings and field trips, and updates on native plant issues.
